Woman Pull’s Husband’s Body From River In Fatal Accident

Police are still searching for a man after a tragic accident left one man dead at the Hawkesbury River in Sydney’s north-west on Sunday.

A woman pulled her husband’s unconscious body from the water yesterday after a jet ski accident at Wilberforce.

Paramedics tried to save the 49-year-old father of two but it was too late and he died at the scene.

Ehsan Salmanzader was one of three men thrown from a jet ski during the fatal accident. A second man made it to shore safely but a 59-year-old man is still missing.

“It was quite heartbreaking,” said Hawkesbury Police Chief Inspector Garry Sims to 7 News.

“They were a large group of friends enjoying pretty much picture perfect day on the Hawkesbury. And as you can imagine they’re all quite devastated.”

Police are still investigating what went wrong when the group of family members from Merrylands were caught up in the Jet Ski accident.

It is currently believed that the three men were thrown from the jet ski after attempting a turn at high speed. None of the men were wearing life jackets.

“Wearing lifejackets when on any sort of water craft is the best way to keep you and your family safe,” said NSW Ambulance’s Inspector Giles Buchanan.

The search for the third man, believed to be a poor swimmer, was temporarily called off last night and is expected to resume this morning.
