Mike E started his
radio career at The Edge when he was just 19. From driving the Street
Team car to doing the overnight shift Mike E kept pressuring the boss
until he landed the Breakfast shift with Emma.
Since then Mike E has moved to various stations including Mix Fm and
2day Fm, in 2011 he is coming home with his original co-host Emma!
Mike E says what he thinks and holds his ground, but deep down you can
tell he is a big softy! He loves going out clubbing and has an obsession
with Emma, so its lucky he gets to spend every day, for hours on end in
a very small room with her!
Emma's kind of like a
bag of Allen's Party Mix. She started her media career at a music
magazine, was poached for The Edge Breakfast show with Mike E, kissed
him goodbye to do the self-discovery thing in Japan, had a brief stint
in TV, and is now back on air for more sexual harassment from Mike E.
When she's not eating, she's thinking about the next meal she'll eat.
She physically can't keep her mouth shut for more than ten seconds
(extensive scientific testing has confirmed this theory), which can
sometimes get her into trouble.
Her secret pop indulgence is Katy Perry (and so is everyone else's, they
just don't admit it). She's obsessed with Rihanna's hair, would kill
for Alexa Chung's wardrobe, and would also kill to make out with James
Franco or Don Draper from Mad Men. Sadly, Mike E will have to be the
consolation prize, since neither of the previous dreams mentioned will
ever actually be realised.
Kathleen first joined The Edge 96.One newsroom in March 2010 before heading overseas for six months and rejoining the news team in October 2011.
Kathleen obtained a double degree in Journalism and Law from the University of Western Sydney.
Her interest in radio began when she started working in local radio as a teenager.
She loves working in the newsroom (despite the 4am starts!) where her job is to write and present news bulletins for The Edge 96.One.
On weekends Kathleen likes wandering through Sydney's markets, going to the beach and doing an odd bit of shopping!
Our traffic reporter Vic Larusso started his career with The Edge 96.One and comes to you live from the only traffic helicopter in Sydney,
The Edge chopper with the resources of 450 traffic cameras strategically watching the entire Greater Sydney road network.
He keeps you up to date with traffic conditions every weekday morning from 6-9am with Mike E & Emma and from 3-7pm with K-Sera, so if you see a bright orange helicopter
flying about the traps, that's him!
