Woman Dies After Being Run Over By Her Own Car
A 58-year-old woman has died after being fatally struck by her own car in Sydney’s northwest on Sunday.
The woman was knocked over at around 3:30pm yesterday by the unattended Mazda CX7 on Ambleside Dive in Castle Hill.
It’s believed that the woman had pulled over to search for something in the back of the vehicle. The driver of the car, a 32-year-old woman, had been standing near the Excelsior Road intersection when the car began to roll.
Both the car’s owner and the driver were hit by the vehicle and the 58-year-old woman died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established by police and anyone with information is being urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
