Carlin’s name has been in headlines recently due to his public break up with his girlfriend, The Bachelorette Angie Kent.

According to Big Brother star Sophie Budack’s Youtube channel ‘Beyond The White Room’, Carlin talked about his process on getting on the show.

Sterritt admitted he actually originally applied to be ‘The Bachelor’ instead of just being a contestant on ‘The Bachelorette.’

He certainly looks the part of The Bachelor….

According to the interview, Carlin’s boss put his name forward for the show, ‘He did it behind my back. I didn’t ask him to do it,” Carlin said.

“I got an audition for The Bachelor and from that process… and I didn’t get The Bachelor….but I met with a lot of the casting directors and producers. They sort of got to know who I was.”

“So when The Bachelorette came to be, they pretty much gave me a call and said ‘Hey, did you want to just apply for this?’ and I said, ‘Sure!'”

Carlin said that the application process can be quite intense but he only had one group interview and then was “fast tracked from there.”

Which was a blessing for him because he ended up being the last man standing and the pair enjoyed almost a year together.
