Princess Diana did an explosive interview with the BBC in 1995 where she spilled the ruth about her own affair, her horrendous marriage to Prince Charles, and that she knew about Charles’ affair with Camilla.

Last year, Diana’s brother Charles Spencer claimed that the journalist conducting the interview, Martin Bashir, at the time used false information to ‘trick’ Princess Diana into doing the interview and exposing royal secrets.

Spencer revealed that Bashir provided faked bank statements and successfully attempted to trick them into thinking that Princess Diana’s house staff were keeping her under surveillance for payment.

Spencer also alleged that Bashir didn’t stop at that and used other false stories to encourage Diana’s paranoia and conspiracy concerns so she would retaliate and reveal what she did.

After these accusations last year, the BBC appointed a judge to investigate the allegations and now, almost a year later, the judge has deemed that Martin Bashir DID used ‘deceitful behaviour’ and lied to his bosses.

However the BBC is not without blame, it’s also now been proven that the BBC then covered up Bashir’s actions by not investigating him.

Prince Harry has now spoken out in response to the investigation of Bashir and his words are heartbreaking.

“The ripple effect of a culture of exploitation and unethical practices ultimately took her life… Our mother lost her life because of this, and nothing has changed. By protecting her legacy, we protect everyone and uphold the dignity with which she lived her life. Let’s remember who she was and what she stood for.”

The rage people feel stem from the manipulation of a woman who was struggling with mental health issues, where Princess Diana suffered from paranoia and was convinced there was a ‘plot’ to have her killed, so for Bashir to use these against her to get a headline is really… messed up.
