If you haven’t heard of Red Table Talk, it’s a web-series headed by Jada Pinkett-Smith where they have the realest talks about life that you’ll ever hear.

Sometimes it can be incredibly confronting, in the latest episode of Red Table Jada sits with her husband of 23 years, Will Smith, to talk about their relationship.

The duo have a very open and honest relationship and it’s incredibly a-typical, so many people don’t understand it.

There were rumours that they had an open relationship for a while, but the Smith’s confirmed this wasn’t true.

Singer August Alsina exposed the affair on a radio station a fortnight ago and Jada felt it necessary to bring it to the table to have a discussion.

“I thought it was important that we come to the table to clear the air…Somebody made a statement for me that was not a statement I made that went — cray cray”, Jada started the episode off!

Will Smith asked his wife to be honest about what exactly happened.

“He just needed some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state,” Jada clarified, stating that their ‘friendship’ started 4 1/2 years ago.

“When Aug first came around he was really sick,” Will added. “The outpouring for him from our family was really about his health.”

Jada went on to explain that their marriage was very much on the rocks.

“You had kicked me to the curb,” Jada said.

“I was done with you… I was done with your ass”, Will confirmed (which must have been brutal to hear).

The Smiths had actually decided to separate and it was only THEN that Jada’s relationship with Alsina developed.

“It was a relationship, absolutely… I was in a lot of pain. I was very broken. In the process of that relationship I definitely realised you can’t find happiness outside yourself.”

They’ve worked through their issues and actually ended the episode with a fist bump and Smith’s Bad Boys motto: “We ride together, we die together, bad marriage for life”.

Dare I say…goals?
