From visible scripts to unexplainable outfit changes, Married At First Sight has been riddled with editing mistakes and plot holes galore.
However, it wasn’t until Sunday’s commitment ceremony that audiences began to deeply question the legitimacy of the program.
When Sam announces his affair with Ines, Bronson was visibly shocked, particularly given his newly-found optimism around his relationship with his on-screen ‘wife’.
As a result, fans found it downright bizarre that the former stripper decided to ‘leave’ the relationship, even though he wrote it prior to knowing about the ‘affair’.
Just moments before, Bronson was talking positively about their relationship, and how things could quite possibly work out between them.
Viewers understandably took to Twitter to express their confusion over the obvious plot hole, and question the credibility of the show.
“Hold up. Bronson had a ‘great’ week with Ines & had total faith in them but tonight he writes LEAVE… fishy as f***,” one wrote.
“I think Ines, Bronson, Liz & Sam are all actors put there to spice up the show! Firstly, why would Bronson have said ‘Leave’ if he thought things were improving. Secondly, is it NOT a coincidence that 4 go tonight and 2 new couples (or 4 ppl) start 2morrow! #fakemafs,” wrote another.

Callingg. Bs that Bronson chose to leave, he would have made the decision apparently prior to knowing that Ines cheated, when he thought things were good between them. Such scripted dramz this season. #MAFS #MAFSAU

Why would Bronson say leave if he thought things were going good all week. Oh contract up up write him out

Meanwhile, another fan speculated that Bronson initially wrote ‘stay’, but that producers intervened at the last minute.
“Very clever editing with two commitment ceremony endings. Bronson clearly had intentions to stay but another close up edit insert allowed him to present the leave sign. #MAFS Allowing him to spend another week with her would have been ridiculous,” a user claims.

I refuse to believe Bronson wrote ‘leave’ on his own accord. Producers had their say to make way for the intruders. Bye Felicia! 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼 So damn obvious. 🙄🤢 #MAFS

Did producers intervene? Had Bronson’s contract on the show expired? We’ll never know.
Married At First Sight continues tonight at 7:30PM on Channel Nine.
