Post Malone is clearly no stranger to the world of cinema after his contributions to the soundtrack for Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse landed him atop the charts with Sunflower, but the singer is just about to make his first on-screen appearance in Netflix’s latest flick.

Post Malone co-stars alongside Mark Wahlberg in Spenser Confidential, a film about ex-cop Spenser (Wahlberg), as he gets out of prison and plans to leave Boston, before sinking back into trouble as his old mentor brings in a ‘promising amateur’ for Spenser to help.

We don’t know exactly how Post Malone fits into the film – the IMDB page for the doesn’t have any details on his character, but the trailer sees him as a fellow inmate with Spenser, riling up fellow prisoners into a brawl as a “going away present” for the ex-cop.

Posty looks great in the short clip and it will be great to see him make his proper movie debut.

Directed by Peter Berg (Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon), and starring Mark Wahlberg, Winston Duke, Iliza Shlesinger and Alan Arkin, Spenser Confidential is an action-comedy co-starring Post Malone, Bokeem Woodbine and Marc Maron. Based on a character created by Robert B. Parker and Ace Atkins, the movie drops on Netflix on March 6th.
