Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s feud has reared it’s ugly head once again and it’s all linked to that one, infamous 2016 phone call.

You might remember four years ago that Kim Kardashian leaked a phone call between her husband Kanye West and Taylor Swift, that seemed to prove that Taylor was aware of lyrics that were about her in Kanye’s song ‘Famous’.

The lyrics say, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why I made that bitch famous.”

At the time, Taylor said that she was aware of the first part of the lyrics, but that she never approved him calling her “that bitch” or taking credit for her fame.

While Kim Kardashian made it seem like Taylor was lying and did know about the lyrics, the FULL audio of the phone call has since leaked online and it actually seems to prove that Taylor was telling the truth!

The newly released audio is currently making the rounds on Twitter and they seem to reinforce what Taylor said, in that she wasn’t given the full picture of the song.

It also show’s that Swift was hesitant about being included in the song in the first place.

In the new audio, Kanye tells Taylor that he needs her approval and support for a “controversial” lyric. He tells her that this line is, “I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex”. Which is obviously different to the line that ended up in the song.

Taylor Swift is then heard in the audio expressing her uncertainty to the line.

“If I launch it, it adds to this level of criticism. Having this many followers and having this many eyeballs on me right now, people are just looking for me to do something dumb or stupid or lame,” she says.

“I feel like people would try to make it negative if it came from me. I try to be super-self aware about where I am and I feel like right now, I’m really close to over-exposure.”

It’s not known where the video originated from, but Taylor Swift fans have been quick to pipe up in support of Tay Tay as we know that her feud with Kim and Kanye was a main catalyst for her disappearing from the spotlight a few years ago.

“THIS is what y’all did,” wrote one fan in reference to Kanye and Kim. “You all bullied a girl into disappearing for a year and even think about ending her career just because you all didn’t even want to listen to her part of the story, which is truth.”

“TAYLOR TOLD THE TRUTH #KanyeWestIsOverParty #TaylorToldTheTruth,” wrote another.

Other people are just happy to have something to talk about other than the coronavirus pandemic during this time of social distancing.
