It’s been 3 years since the long overdue moment in Australian history where the results of the Marriage Equality postal vote was announced.
Huge amounts of people came together to hear the announcement and celebrate the step forward for Australians.
City of Sydney has proposed a rainbow path to weave through Prince Alfred Park which now homes the newly named ‘Equality Green’ where 30, 000 people gathered in 2017 to hear the result.
I remember celebrating in Taylor Square myself where Sydney already homes a big old rainbow crossing representing the area’s thriving queer community.

The city council reckons a 90-metre long rainbow pathway weaving through the park is the perfect memento and I’m inclined to agree!
Like the idea of a new @cityofsydney rainbow footpath at Equality Green in Prince Alfred Park?
