Early-risers in Sydney have woken to a think blanket of fog covering the city this morning meaning that it could be a rough commute for those travelling on the road, water and in the air.
Low visibility has forced a ferry at Parramatta to turn back with more delays across the network expected throughout the morning.
Western Sydney is said to be the worst affected area and drivers from the outskirts of the CBD are being warned to take it easy as they make their way through the dense mist.
Drivers are being told to keep their fog lights on and take extra care with light rain lingering from an overnight down pour leaving the roads slippery.
