I’m an absolute monster when it comes to desserts, especially pastry-based desserts.

The old nana comes out of me craving sweet buttery flakey goodness.

So when I find out that a small patisserie in Five Dock has pretty much invented a hybrid pastry, then I’ll be there with bloody bells on!

The meringue cookie croissant is available at Buttercrumbs Croissant in Sydney’s Inner West, and as the name suggests, they specialise in the flaky French pastry.

There are innovators and inventors in that kitchen, like look at these cube croissants!! THEY’RE SO AESTHETIC.

Now they’re doing the meringue cookie croissant which involves layered meringue, fresh jam and a crispy croissant base.
