Red Rooster has always been synonymous with a simple roast chicken and a couple sides.
Maybe a pop top if you’re aged under 12.
But that’s all about to change with a new range of “Hellfire Burgers” being introduced to the menu.
It seems the fast food operation wants to compete with its rivals, and so is expanding its offering.
“It’s a contemporary and edgy and rebellious name for the burger range,” Director of Marketing Ashley Hughes told News Corp.
“Our mainstream consumer is around 35 or 40-plus and come to us for a roast dinner on occasion.
“We want to target younger 20 to 35-year-olds who are looking for a more modern contemporary flavour for lunch that we have not offered to date.”
The burger range is based around buttermilk coated chicken on a premium potato bun.
But the kicker is the three levels of heat in the sauces.
So what would you go for?
Jalapeno mayonnaise (mild), habanero chilli sauce (medium) or reaper chilli sauce (hot)?
