Your socials might be loaded with pictures of your friends off, travelling Europe without you (or maybe you’re that friend, in which case, we’re jealous), but Sydney is set to play host to a festival that will bring Europe to you. Back for its second year, Sydney’s Christmas in July Village is set to bring 25 authentic miniature chalets from Europe. The festival celebrates the wintery, Christmas spirits of Europe, with a huge variety of activities to put you in the mood for a mis-dated celebration.

One such activity will be Santa’s Pop-Up Bar, where you’ll be able to enjoy all sorts of boozy Christmas drinks, including a few fancy, boozed-up hot chocolates, mulled wines and more, all served by Santa’s elves while ‘Santa’ himself will be on the decks pumping Christmas tunes.

The Pop-Up will be in Sydney for just 4 days, the 11th to 14th of July, alongside the Christmas in July festival. The bar is open from 11AM-11PM on Thursday through to Saturday, and 11AM-9PM on Sunday. At 7PM, DJ Santa hits the decks with electro remixes of your favourite Christmas tunes, and then at 8PM, it’s time for Christmas-themed Karaoke.

The bar will be located on Atherden Street, just of Argyle Street in The Rocks. The Christmas in July Festival will take up the rest of Argyle Street so there’ll be plenty to do alongside the bar. The Village will also feature an Ice Skating Rink, Christmas Pines, Snow Machines, and more.

The Pop-Up Bar and Christmas in July Village are part of the Bastille Festival, which celebrates French Culture each year in the Rocks, with a variety of markets, movies, and more, all around Sydney’s Circular Quay.

You can find out more about the event on the Bastille Festival Website or their Facebook Event.
