It’s been a looooong time since we got to smell cinema popcorn or bite into a choc-top while watching a flick on the big screen.

But now that some restrictions are beginning to ease, it looks like Sydney has found a way to go back to the movies while maintaining social distancing! And to do so, we’re going full-on old school!

Fasten your seatbelts Sydney because a spectacular rooftop drive-in cinema is about to pop-up so that we can watch movies together again in the safest way possible.

The company that brought us Mov’in Bed, Outdoor Bed Cinema has done a bit of rebranding to introduce Mov’in Car, Outdoor Car Cinema and they’ve been working on a unique sanitary management plan to make sure everything remains safe for everyone.

The drive-in will be located on the Entertainment Quarter Rooftop and will be open from May 28th until the end of June.

All you have to do is park your car, get comfortable, turn on your radio and enjoy the movie on the massive outdoor screen while also taking in the gorgeous views of the city skyline.

Of course, what is a 50s style drive-in cinema without a 50s style American diner! You can get delicious, New York style pizzas brought straight to your seat including one mouthwatering Nutella dessert pizza!

As for what you’ll be watching, Mov’in Car has got a whole bunch of classics and blockbuster hits on their line-up with so many options.

From Grease to Scream, Dirty Dancing, JoJo Rabbit or even classics for the family like Frozen 2, Jumanji and Harry Potter, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We can’t wait to head back to the movies – old school style!
