It’s safe to say that most Sydneysiders have walked through the exquisite corridors of the Queen Victoria Building at some point in their life, but did you know there’s a spooky history behind the iconic building?

If you’re a fan of the supernatural, or even good ol’ Sydney history, then look no further than the QVB’s after-dark ghost tours.

Running throughout the month of August, the After Dark Tours will give guests the opportunity to visit parts of the building usually closed to the public. You’ll even be introduced to the building’s resident ghost – Mei Quong Tart – a former QVB merchant tragically killed following a botched robbery attempt in 1903.

Armed with lanterns, you will even get the chance to walk through the Victoria Room onto the secret courtyard where you will have an unparalleled view of the QVB dome.

The tour concludes with a warming Whisk(e)y Highball or Gin & Tonic, which is all included in the ticket price.

So, if you’re a fan of the supernatural universe, then get your fix this month at the Queen Victoria Building.
