You saw that headline correctly…I’m still rubbing my eyes from writing it.

The Director of Neunmünster Zoo in Germany has talked about potentially FEEDING SOME OF ITS ANIMALS TO OTHER ANIMALS IN THE ZOO!!

The zoo has been struggling since self isolation has come into place and it hasn’t been able to generate any income.

With no income, they have no funds to look after the animals in their care….

But WHY FEED THEM TO EACH OTHER?

“We’ve listed the animals we’ll have to slaughter first’, Verena Kaspari, director of the zoo told a German news site Welt.

VERENA PLS, JUST GIVE THEM TO ANOTHER ZOO OR SOMETHING?

Kaspari has gone on to say that the decision would be extremely difficult and a last resort and apparently the animals cannot be taken anywhere else?

WHY?

Apparently zoos everywhere are struggling and with European borders being closed it’s not even an option.

Neunmünster Zoo houses the largest Polar Bear in Germany, his name is Vitus and he is over 3.5m long, meaning no other zoo has an enclosure big enough for him.

OH NO.
