Skeletal remains found in Sydney’s Royal National Park in June are those of a long-term missing person, detectives have confirmed.
Stuart Dohrn was 43 years old when he was last seen at his Woronora home on December 14, 2015.
Family members reported Mr Dohrn missing that evening but he was not seen alive again despite extensive inquiries.
Police say two bushwalkers discovered human skeletal remains south of the Audley Weir on June 2, with investigators confirming on Monday they have been identified as those of the missing man.
Police have kept Mr Dohrn’s family apprised of the developments and inquiries are continuing.
