Students from Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts (WHSPA), Keira High School and the nearby TAFE campus at Wollongong have all been evacuated from site buildings after bomb threats on Monday (16th September).

The Illawarra Mercury is reporting that police are on site at each school.

“Evacuation is still active. All students are safe in designated evacuation areas. Waiting on the all clear to re enter the premises,” a spokesperson for Wollongong High School of the Performing Arts wrote on their Facebook page.

Police are searching the grounds of the three locations.

A NSW police spokeswoman confirmed with the publication that a police operation was under way at the schools following a threat made via email.

Officers with the assistance of the dog squad are currently searching the grounds.
