Over the weekend it seemed like Summer had arrived early in NSW with temperatures creeping up close to 30 degrees!

But not it seems that we’re heading back towards winter weather with temperatures plummeting across the state and snow actually falling in the Blue Mountains.

The Bureau of Meteorology New South Wales posted on twitter just moments ago that snow has started to fall along the Great Western Highway at Mount Boyce, near Blackheath.

They’ve warned anyone who may be driving in the area to take extra care on the road.

This comes following reports that we could receive up to 50 millimetres of rain by this evening (Tuesday 17 September).

Temperatures are only set to reach a top of 15 degrees in Sydney today and just 14 out in our west after temperatures reportedly dropped 7 degrees in just one hour last night.

The wet conditions are set to stick around until Thursday, with showers beginning to ease on Friday, before returning once again over the weekend.
